These dessert plates by Parisian designer Marie Daâge, are all entirely hand painted in Limoges by artists who hail from families who have been painting for generations. The brushwork style is beautiful and you can actually feel the brushstroke on the plates. They are many different colours which allows something for everyone and a great opportunity to mix and match to create your unique tableware style. Perhaps match six Bleu Ardoise with six Absinthe to striking effect , or sophisticated Taupe with Fushia or Noir , or the classic pales of Opaline, Gris Perle or Marron glace. While porcelain is relatively robust , as demonstrated by the survival of many vintage sets, the fact that they are hand painted lends to hand washing rather than excessive dishwasher use.
